What is the difference between high temperature screen printing and low temperature screen printing?
Auther: Pubdate:2020-01-08
I often hear people say that screen printing glass uses high temperature screen printing, while others say low temperature screen printing. So who is right? What is the difference between high temperature screen printing and low temperature screen printing? Let ’s take a look together!

There are two printing methods for screen printing glass, which are high temperature screen printing and low temperature screen printing. High-temperature silk-screened glass generally does not drop ink, even if it is scratched with a sharp object. The use of sharp objects for low temperature screen printing can be scraped off, and these characteristics also make the glass for high temperature screen printing more suitable for outdoor and corrosive environments.

There are some differences in the process of high temperature screen printing and low temperature screen printing. Of course, high temperature screen printing also uses high temperature inks. After the glass is cut and the edges are polished, the screen printing can be performed. After screen printing, it must be tempered, otherwise the ink will fall off easily, and the ink will not fall off after tempering. The low temperature ink used for low temperature screen printing is screen printed after the glass is tempered. Low-temperature screen printing requires adding a curing agent to the ink, and baking the substrate after printing to cure the ink.

In conclusion, the main difference between high temperature screen printing and low temperature screen printing is that high temperature screen printing has strong weather resistance, and is relatively strong in corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance. The second is the ink used, which is different from the process.
